Joel Asoro has revealed he rejected an offer from Tottenham to sign for Swansea City this summer.
Asoro left Sunderland for Graham Potters' Swans, but not before speaking to Spurs.
He confirmed to Sportbladet: "I had quite a few clubs to choose from, but I thought it was important to choose a team where I had a better chance of playing time.
"I'm young and I need to play as much as possible. I'm not saying it was just that simple and therefore I went to Swansea - I have to work hard and perform there to play too.
"We sat down and talked to Tottenham and they said they could not promise anything about playing time - and so I felt I could not choose them."
