Joaquin Correa was thrilled with his stunning start at Inter Milan after victory over Hellas Verona.
The signing from Lazio came off the bench to score twice in the 3-1 win.
“It was a wonderful day! I had dreamed of coming here since I was a kid, for the first time I wore the jersey and thank God we won with my goal," he later said.
“It's the first time I've scored two goals on my debut, so I am really happy and want to thank my teammates, the coach and the club who had faith in me and made me feel like I had been here for years.
“There are some seasons when I didn't score many goals, but I always tried to work for the team. I do try to score and today two went in. I dedicate the goals to my family, friends and all those who stood by me over the last month."
He added: “I supported Inter as a kid because I saw so many Argentines playing here. I also came close when I was 16 and I wanted to make it happen."
