Joao Pedro counting on Gomes for Watford support

Joao Pedro is counting on quickly adapting to life at Watford.

Now in England after completing his move from Fluminense, Pedro is sticking close to Brazilian goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes as he prepares to be registered with the Hornets on January 1.

“I feel motivated," he said. “I've always wanted to play in the Premier League and now that I'm here I just have to make it happen. I've been resting so now it's a case of getting back into training as soon as possible at Watford.

“Having Gomes here will be important to me because of the language.

“It makes it a lot easier and obviously he can help me adapt to it all. I definitely need to go shopping because it's cold here. It's really hot in Brazil so I need to buy stuff that'll help me adapt to this cold.

"It's only the second time I've travelled outside Brazil and the first time I left Brazil was to play a game and then go back. This time it's a new city and a new, fantastic experience for me, a dream for me."
