Joao Palhinha proud of Fulham debut: Though there was one problem...

Joao Palhinha is happy after his first months with Fulham.

The former Sporting CP midfielder impressed on his Premier League debut for last week's 2-2 draw with Liverpool.

Palhinha said: "It's always good to start the way we started [Fulham], especially with Liverpool. Here every week it's like it's always Benfica-Sporting.

"We would have been happy with a draw against Liverpool, but I wasn't completely satisfied. I didn't feel completely fulfilled. I was a little nervous, it was a big game, there's a great visibility. I felt a different anxiety, but it ran well.

"I remembered my entire journey, I looked at the stands, who I was going to face, and I remembered how I worked to get here. It was a dream to be in the Premier League and it's the goal of any player to evolve here."

Palhinha also revealed: "After the game, we talk to four or five televisions, then when you're dressed you still talk to the radios. We're not going to talk to RFM or Antena 1 in Portugal. I liked it. I just didn't like it because the team bus didn't wait for me. I had to take a ride from the dressing room and went in the van with the kit!"
