Wolves defender Jesus Vallejo hailed their spirit for the Carabao Cup shootout win against Reading.
A youthful-looking Wolves team overcame the challenge of finishing with ten men and conceding in the ninth minute of injury time to progress in the competition.
Real Madrid loanee Vallejo told the club's website: “I think it was a very important win for the team. I think this year is very important, the whole team, because we have very tough games, we are in a lot of competitions, and we saw today we are a pack, we are a team and we are in the next round.
“I think in the first-half we had more control of the ball, we created more chances, but they worked very well in the second-half. We defended very well as well, but this is football, and these things can happen."
He added: “I think we defended very well with one less player, but we have to be happy because we were very focused on the penalties, especially our keeper, John Ruddy, he trains very, very hard.
“The most important I think is the direction after this, we did very focused penalties and we have to be very happy with it, and now it's very important to do a good recovery for the next game."
