Cameron Jerome has welcomed Birmingham City plans to spend big in the January market.
Rather than view the £40 million pledge as a threat, Jerome has embraced the prospect of big names arriving at St Andrews.
He said: "It sends out a positive, strong message. Definitely the manager will be happy as well if he's getting that sort of money to splash about.
"From my point of view, it's good for the team. It's only going to benefit Birmingham City. You can't think 'someone going to come in and nick my position'.
"You've just got to look at it and think it's going to be a matter of strengthening the squad.
"Hopefully if the manager can go out there and sign some top quality players then it's only going to help our chance of remaining in the Premier League."
