Jensen Weir is looking forward to a first preseason with new club Brighton.

The 18-year-old joined the club last week after ten years with Wigan Athletic.

He said, “Everything about the place is fantastic and I'm really looking forward to getting started.

“I'd been at Wigan for a long time and now felt like the right time to change. Brighton felt like the right place for me, the pathway is there and the facilities can help me get better as a player so it feels like a really good fit.

“My aim is to get into the first team here but I want to settle in, get used to the team, enjoy my football and go from there."
