Burnley goalkeeper Brian Jensen has urged fans not to go over the top for Sunday's derby clash at Blackburn Rovers.

Jensen has appeared in two previous clashes between the two sides and is anxious not to see a repeat of the pitch invasions from 2005.

He told the Burnley Express: "There is great passion from the fans, and hopefully people behave in the right way.

"No-one can justify anyone running on the pitch, they are just silly, maybe they want to get in the papers of whatever, but they are going to get banned, so why do it?

"Keep the passion in the stands, sing your songs to each other, but get behind your teams and keep it good natured."
