Jenas: Spurs striker Kane primed for big season

Former Tottenham midfielder Jermaine Jenas believes Harry Kane is primed for a massive season.

Writing for the Daily Express, Jenas wrote: "Harry Kane has got the bit between his teeth this season. You can tell he is thinking: I need some silverware now.

"Losing in the Champions' League final has stung him. The Nations League final hurt too. He was not his best for those two games and he took a lot of responsibility to play after recovering from his ankle injury in the Champions League quarter final.

"Harry has had a rest in the summer after playing football non-stop. A month off, a nice break with his family.

"He will be fresh. He's got married, so his personal well-being is good. All of these things add up to him being ready to go."
