Manchester United lost youngsters Adnan Januzaj and Guillermo Varela to injuries in the U-21 side's 7-0 demolition of Norwich City on Monday.
Belgian attacking midfielder Januzaj limped off with a hamstring injury after 30 minutes while Uruguayan full-back Varela had to leave the pitch with an ankle injury later in the half.
A host of players with senior experience such as Phil Jones, Memphis Depay, Sergio Romero and Andreas Pereira started, however, it was Will Keane who stole the limelight with his five-goal haul in the demolition job.
Winger Memphis bounced back from his questionable performance in the 1-1 draw with Chelsea on Sunday by supplying three assists.
