Newcastle United fullback Daryl Janmaat says the players are right behind caretaker manager John Carver.

Carver has made no secret of his ambitions to succeed Alan Pardew beyond the end of the season.

"John is doing a good job," Janmaat said. "He is making everyone sharp. We like him as a coach.

"For him as a trainer it is nice for him to get the results."
