Callum Gribbin hit the winner as Manchester United U23 won 1-0 at Oldham Athletic last night.

Games with a single goal can often suffer from a shortage of action and excitement, but that most definitely wasn't the case with this encounter. It was a thoroughly enjoyable contest that could easily have ended with both sides having found the net on a number of occasions.

James Wilson was back in a United shirt following last season's loan spell at Derby County, which came to an abrupt end when he suffered a serious knee injury.
