Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho wants James Wilson to move out on-loan next season.
The Sun says the 20-year-old, who spent the last campaign on loan at Brighton, will hold talks with boss Mourinho next week.
He is expected to be told he will be free to leave United for the entire season – with a number of Premier League and Championship clubs interested in signing him.
Mourinho will sit down with all his fringe players next week to discuss their futures.
Wilson spent most of last season on loan with the Seagulls, where he bagged just five goals in 24 outings.
One club keen on Wilson are Championship outfit Birmingham.
Another likely to be sounded out are Blues' West Midlands rivals Aston Villa.
