James expresses pride playing for Chelsea as west Londoner

Reece James' connections with Chelsea run deep.

The 20-year-old has become a first-team regular under Frank Lampard following an impressive loan spell with Wigan Athletic last season.

And the fullback has spoken of his pride playing for the team he supported growing up in west London.

"We moved to west London when I was about two, so I grew up in this area, not too far from Stamford Bridge, and it was natural for them to become my team," James told Chelsea magazine.

"My brother was a United fan and me and my sister were always Chelsea. When I first supported them, it would have been the team with Robben, Drogba, Petr Cech, Terry and the gaffer."
