Former Olympique Marseille fullback Hamada Jambay would recommend against the appointment of Zinedine Zidane.

Zidane, after his resignation from Real Madrid a fortnight ago, has been linked with the France job.

Jambay said: "Zidane? I hope that one day he will take the team of France. Or OM? We would not be a happy choice yet.

"You cannot take a university teacher and put him in primary school, in CPE. That's Marseille, it's our club, but we would be disappointed.

"Real is the pinnacle of clubs, after that can only be the team of France, or another great squad. He will do great things again."
