Jagielka to make comeback in Everton reserves

Everton defender Phil Jagielka will begin his comeback for the reserves against Bolton on Tuesday. The Toffees centre-back has not played since damaging cruciate ligaments in his left knee during a game against Manchester City last April.

The Toffees have been boosted by a number of returning players in recent weeks, and their form has benefited after a poor start to the season.

And youngster Jack Rodwell believes the only way is up for the Blues. "Jagielka hasn't played and he was our best player last season," he told the Liverpool Echo.

"The future really is bright for Everton at the moment."
