Jack Wilshere returns to West Ham training on Monday.

Since August, Wilshere has played only five matches for the Hammers - all in the Premier League - and his career has been severely disrupted by injury at both Arsenal and West Ham.

His ability made him an iconic figure to Arsenal fans and it was hoped he would reach iconic status at the Emirates.

The Daily Mail says now he is set to resume light training on Monday with a closely-monitored programme.

The plan is for the intensity to increase so that Wilshere could be ready to play again in possible four weeks but, more likely, six weeks.
