Jack Ruddy: Wolves players made welcome at FC Jumilla

Wolves goalkeeper Jack Ruddy says the club's loan players have been made to feel welcome at Spanish partners FC Jumilla.

Nine Wolves players are on-loan at the Segunda Liga outfit this season.

Ruddy, whose parents live in Spain, told BirminghamLive: “It's not as big a thing for me because I've lived here but for the other lads it's a bit of a culture shock but they're getting used to it and they're adapting well.

“The rest of the lads don't (speak Spanish) but, to be fair to them, they're trying. They're picking up a few words here and there. It makes it a lot easier playing.

“They (Spanish team-mates) are all pretty good. There's no 'them and us' kind of thing, or a divide, it's all pretty welcoming and people are wanting to help.

“The manager (Leonel Pontes) speaks English and all of his coaching staff speak English. The goalie coach speaks quite decent English.

“They're all really helpful if you need anything. Everything gets sorted: cars, food, hotels, flats and stuff like that."
