Ivory Coast U20 international fullback Adama Traore is set to sign for Gold Coast United. He is that rare thing, a gifted left-sided player. I'm hoping he will be the answer for us as a genuine left back," Gold Coast coach Miron Bleiberg told The Bulletin.

"He is very fast, athletic, strong and quite technical. He is comfortable on the ball and I like players of that type."

While Bleiberg has yet to see the 18-year-old Traore in then flesh, he was seduced by a series of DVDs showcasing his skills at an under-20 tournament last year where he stood out against Portugal and Spain.
