Steffen Iversen says he's on his way to Crystal Palace.

Rosenborg had offered the 34-year-old an extension but he is happy with his decision to return to England after previous spells with Tottenham and Wolves.

"I am happy and pleased that everything is done and I look forward to the future," Iversen told Adresseavisen.

"The move first of all related to the family, but of course it is great to get to play in England at the end of my career."

Iversen could now make his Palace debut against Preston on Monday.

He said: "I don't know if I will get to play yet, but in any case, I am ready."
