It will be about performance, rather than results for Hull City boss Phil Brown.

The People says Brown has won a reprieve at Hull City - with new chairman Adam Pearson ready to let him carry on in charge for the next few games.

The crunch will be how they perform against Stoke and Manchester City but if the signs are good Brown may well get cash in the New Year window to go again.

It is possible that former Hull saviour Pearson will eventually invest in Hull City down the line, but his first job is to keep them in the Premier League and balance the books.
