Italy manager Prandelli rejects Tottenham links

Italy national team boss Cesare Prandelli has out of hand dismissed claims that he could become Tottenham's next manager.

Reports have suggested that the Azzurri boss would leave his current role at the end of this summer's World Cup to take the reins at White Hart Lane but he quickly rejected those rumours, describing it as 'fantasy football'.

"Me to Tottenham next season? This is fantasy football," he told Italian TV station Rai.

"It's too soon to talk about my future, after the friendly with Spain in March we will have a meeting with (FIGC president, Giancarlo) Abete and the federal leaders."

Prandelli has been in charge of Italy since May 2010 and has led the Azzurri to second place in the 2012 European Championships and third place at the 2013 Confederations Cup.
