Italy coach Prandelli stands by his 'code of ethics'

Italy coach Cesare Prandelli stands by his 'code of ethics' after dropping AS Roma midfielder Daniele de Rossi for the friendly against Spain.

De Rossi was axed after the Giallorossi man was seen throwing a punch at Mauro Icardi during their draw with Inter Milan.

"The code of ethics is our regulation," Prandelli told a Press conference. "From the first day of the season, if I have seen something that I deem inappropriate, I will not call up that player.

"With De Rossi, I saw it on television and decided. The lad has accepted the decision.

"I don't want any crazy things happening in Brazil, so this is a warning."
