Italy coach Roberto Mancini admits he's impressed by AS Roma sensation Nicolo Zaniolo.

The teenager scored twice in Roma's Champions League win over Porto in midweek.

Mancini said: "What did he tell me about his performance against Porto? He may play in another role, even if it's not his, but now he has the ball and the goals.

"What struck me when I called him in August? I had followed the U19 European Championship and I liked him because he is physically strong, he often shoots and when he has the ball they never take it away.

"Why did not Inter bet on him? With young people it's sometimes difficult to understand.

"He has different characteristics from Nicolo Barella, Jorginho or Marco Verratti. The comparison with (Paul) Pogba is there, but now they need calm and patience otherwise he too will be in trouble."
