Italy coach Marcello Lippi says he'd love to have AC Milan midfielder Andrea Pirlo available for their World Cup opener against Paraguay.

Pirlo is expected to be fit for Italy's final group game.

"I'd be very happy to have Pirlo back for the third game, even if he will do everything he can to be ready for the second," said Lippi.
