Italy coach Giampiero Ventura is refusing to resign after last night's World Cup playoff shock.
Italian football is reeling after their shock elimination at the hands of Sweden.
Ventura insisted he would not resign, though is expected to be sacked by the Italian Federation today.
"I have not resigned because I have not talked to the president yet. When it comes to a result, deserved or undeserved does not matter much, when it is not the fault of the coach, I make the decisions before I talk and then I communicate it, whatever it is," rapped former Torino coach Ventura.
"My biggest guilt, until the match with Sweden we were fine ... it was what we all expected."
