Italian Minister of Sport Vincenzo Spadafora insists Serie A clubs cannot resume training before May 18.

While individuals are allowed back to their club's training centres, no squad training is allowed by the government for another two weeks.

Spadafora wrote on Facebook: “I've read strange things but nothing has changed compared to what I have always said about football, training in groups will not resume before May 18 and now is not the time to start talking about restarting the league.

“Now I'm sorry but I'm going back to all the other sports and the sports centers (gyms, dance centres, swimming pools, etc.) which must reopen as soon as possible."
