Italian identities are welcoming Rafa Benitez's imminent appointment as new Inter Milan coach. The former Liverpool manager is expected to put pen to paper on an Inter contract later today.
Former Sheffield Wednesday and Inter Milan star Benito Carbone said: "I think he is the right person for Inter. I know he's a great man, and this is important because in a locker room like that it is essential for Inter to have such a person.
"His teams are perfect, they are difficult to play against: you see them working hard, they are aggressive. I see him as the right man."
Italian agent Federico Pastorello regards Benitez as a superior tactician to Jose Mourinho.
He said: "He's even better at the tactical level, really maniacal. I have had two dealings with him, for (Andrea) Dossena and (John Arne) Riise. He is very attentive."
