Santi Cazorla is leaving Arsenal for a chance to win a deal with Villarreal, it has been confirmed.
Off contract in June, Cazorla has played his last game for Arsenal, according to Villarreal management.
Villarreal chief Marcos Senna, speaking to Movistar +, announced the fit-again midfielder will join them for preseason.
And coach Javi Calleja also declared yesterday: "He has the door open with us, if he wants and is in condition we will receive him with open arms, it would be great for us."
Cazorla spent seven seasons with Villarreal before leaving for Arsenal. The midfielder has missed the last 18 months with a catalog of serious injuries.
