Former Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge has had his contract with Trabzonspor terminated by mutual consent.
He was only eight months in Turkey.
Sturridge played just 13 times for the Super Lig club, and netted four goals. His final match came on February 22 in a 2-2 draw with Besiktas.
He put pen to paper on a three-year contract at Trabzonspor in August 2019, just two months after he was released at Liverpool.
The 30-year-old is unable to sign for another club on the continent until the transfer window reopens in June, when Sturridge will then become a free agent, says the Mirror.
Premier League strugglers Aston Villa were among the clubs linked with a move for Sturridge in January, but a move to the MLS - likely David Beckham's Inter Miami - may now be on the cards.
