It's a shame Kingsley Coman left PSG - Liverpool defender Sakho

Mamadou Sakho says that the departure of Kingsley Coman from Paris Saint-Germain was an unfortunate blow to the French club.

Coman worked his way through the ranks at PSG and was considered the next big star for the club, however, the youngster made only three appearances for the French giants before moving to Juventus on a free transfer last summer.

The 19-year-old has recently flourished after joining German giants Bayern Munich on a two-year loan deal and is touted to become a world star in the coming years.

PSG certainly would have regretted the manner of Coman's exit and now Liverpool defender Sakho believes his old club have missed out on a budding superstar.

Sakho said on Canal Football Club: "I think it's a shame for Paris. He's a quality player who was there in Paris and was not given a chance.

"Everyone has their own policies but when I see a talent like that, who cannot emerge and express himself in his own city – and it's also a source of pride for the fans to see a youth product play in their colours – it's unfortunate."
