It's a big honour to play under Lennon at one of the best clubs in Europe - Celtic's Biton

Celtic midfielder Nir Biton insists it is a great honour to play under Neil Lennon.

The 22-year old Israel international is emerging as a key player in the centre of the pitch for the Hoops since the departure of Joe Ledley late last month and suggests a lot of his development has come down to the influence of manager Lennon who was a star for the Glasgow giants between 2000 and 2007.

"It's taken me a couple of months to adapt to Scottish football, but I told everyone when I came here that I just need to settle in, because it's a little bit different from what I'm used to in Israel," he told the Scotsman.

"The football is a little bit different. I just try to do the best for my team and my teammates and the coach who believes in me.

"It's a big honour for me to play under this coach, because he played in my position and all the time he gives me advice and tells me what to do and what not to do. I've come to one of the best clubs in Europe."
