IT JUST AIN’T HAPPENING: Arsenal young gun Wellington Silva fails to impress for Bolton

Wellington Silva put in a substandard performance as Bolton Wanderers drew 2-2 with Brighton & Hove Albion on the weekend.

The 22-year-old Brazilian winger arrived at Bolton with plenty of fanfare from Arsenal on a season-long loan in August and despite some ok displays for the Trotters, was well below his best on Saturday.

Sportinglife described Wellington's performance as 'ineffective' before he was hooked by Neil Lennon for Stephen Dobbie when the score was 2-1 to the Seagulls.

Bolton managed to grab an equaliser through Gary Madine in the fourth minute of injury-time to after Brighton winger Jamie Murphy was sent off with 15 minutes remaining.

Wellington has not yet won the support of Bolton fans but has so far been given six Championship starts by Lennon.
