Istanbul Basaksehir winger Eljero Elia insists he's happy in Turkey.

The former Southampton midfielder has been linked with a return to England at newly-promoted Wolves.

However, Elia insists he's enjoying his football with Istanbul Basaksehir.

"The Turkish competition is something I've really liked very much, it has surprised me positively," he said. "Big names are running around here. You should not underestimate the level, because I really needed to switch from the Eredivisie to the duel and survival mentality.

"Every game is a fight."
