Irvine: Tense Sheff Wed dressing room after Plymouth defeat

Sheffield Wednesday boss Alan Irvine says there was "a heated atmosphere" in the Owls dressing room after the loss at Plymouth. Wednesday twice hauled themselves back against 10-man Argyle only to lose 3-2 and slip to their third straight league defeat.

Irvine said: "Yes, a lot of things were said in the dressing room. Anyone who thinks that there weren't would be wrong. I'm not shy at saying what I think and don't bother about upsetting people because it's too serious for that.

"I won't divulge what was said and what went on in the dressing room, but it was an extremely heated atmosphere I can say that.

"It's too early to say what changes there will be, if any."

Irvine added: "You learn lessons about them all the time, as every game goes on, and I was bitterly disappointed with some of the things that happened."
