Irish ace Hoolahan commits to Norwich

Wes Hoolahan has signed a new contract wth Norwich City.

The Republic of Ireland international has put pen to a two-year deal which will keep him at Carrow Road until at least 2018.

Hoolahan, 34, has been with the Canaries since arriving from Blackpool in 2008 and is currently the Norfolk club's longest serving player.

Canaries boss Alex Neil was thrilled the attacking midfielder had committed to the cause for the next couple of seasons, starting with the 2016/17 Championship campaign.

"Wes has always been a special player for us," he told the club's official website.

"More often than not, he's the one I turn to when I need someone to deliver something for me, and he never really lets me down.

"He's a quality player. We all know his qualities. He'll be key for us this year."
