Stoke midfielder Stephen Ireland is confident the Potters have the quality to pull away from relegation danger. Ireland said: "It's tight and some results have gone against us but I think we are fine.

"We have a good squad, we know what direction we want to go in.

"We are going to work hard. We have got a lot of teams coming up that are in similar positions to us. We need to overcome them.

"It is going to be an interesting end to the season, I think."
