Stephen Ireland says teammates Robinho and Elano are now responding to the coaching of Manchester City boss Mark Hughes.

Ireland said: "You can see how everyone has adapted to what the gaffer wants. Elano and Robinho's work-rate is phenomenal now. At the end of the season they were running past me and I was thinking 'wow'.

"I was really impressed with them."
