Brighton youngster Evan Ferguson has been told he worked too hard in his latest international.
The talented attacker started for Ireland against France in a Euro 2024 qualifier this week.
Stephen Kenny was impressed by his young star's maturity, but the Ireland coach said that he was a bit too hard working in the game.
Post-game, Kenny said: “He put in a huge shift and, as a central striker, it's physically demanding, a physically demanding role and he was actually too honest.
“He was coming deep when we didn't need him to be, so it's physically demanding.
“But for an 18-year-old he's shown great maturity and I'm proud of his contribution.
“It's a tough task to be given but he did fine."
