Ipswich wrapping up deal for Sunderland keeper Fulop

Ipswich Town are finalising a £1.5 million deal for Sunderland goalkeeper Marton Fulop.

The 27-year-old goalkeeper is currently discussing personal terms with Roy Keane's Tractor Boys after being told he was no-longer needed at the Stadium of Light.

Manager Steve Bruce is making a late bid to sign David James as cover for the injured Craig Gordon, after the England No 1 left Portsmouth.

Any arrival will push Hungary international Fulop, who spent time with Manchester City at the end of the season, further down the pecking order.
