Ipswich Town defender Tommy Smith was ruing New Zealand's lack of attacking prowess at the World Cup.
The 20-year old All Whites left-back was a vital part of the back four which conceded just two goals in their three Group F matches but said it would have been nice if the team were able to create more down the other end.
"I think we're a team that showed a lot of defensive quality, but it's a shame we couldn't score more goals," he said.
"We're a bit sad about missing out on the next round, but of course it's been positive overall. We had some good chances today (against Paraguay) but we couldn't put them away. I think the fact that they didn't attack us more is down to the work we did in defence."
