AC Milan coach Pippo Inzaghi insists they have plenty to look forward to.
Inzaghi says the "foundations" are in place.
"Of course it created problems that we never really had Stephan El Shaarawy, Riccardo Montolivo, Mattia De Sciglio or Ignazio Abate this season.
"I think the foundations are good and with a few new faces this side can be competitive again. We didn't have the season we expected, but the situation isn't as bleak as it might look.
"We changed so many systems because we had so many injuries. The 4-3-3 is the formation the team knows best, even if there's no such thing as a tactic to make us win. What really improves a performance is ferocity and desire to win."
