Inverness Caley have taken Manchester United youngster Michael Barnes on trial.

The 19-year-old winger will be released by United in the summer and is on the look-out for a new club.

Barnes made one first-team appearance for United in a Carling Cup tie against Crewe in October 2006 and played three games for Chesterfield after joining the Spireites last month, before returning to Old Trafford due to a lack of first-team opportunities.
