Inverness Caley boss Craig Brewster wants to sign Stoke City striker Adam Rooney on a season-long loan.

"We are still trying to speak to Stoke City about getting Adam Rooney on loan for a year," he told The Press and Journal.

"I am trying to bring him in for the opening game of the season against Aberdeen. He played a part against Burnley, although he was quieter than he has been in recent games."
