Inter say Man City's Tevez was never going to join

Inter Milan have made it clear that Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez was never really an option.

Recent reports have suggested that the Italian club were pursuing the Argentine during the transfer window but sporting director Marco Branca insists that City's asking price was always far too much.

"Tevez has never been a possible purchase. City always valued him at €45million (£40m)," Branca told Sport Mediaset.
