Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic was delighted with victory over Empoli.

Perisic was pleased with his role in Mauro Icardi's winner.

"The most important thing tonight was the three points. Empoli are a good side and we weren't at our best, especially in the first half. Nevertheless, we worked ourselves an opportunity and we took it. We'll work on what didn't go well this evening."

The Nerazzurri winger also revealed what was going through his head for the goal: "There was an opening, I managed to get the cross in and it worked out well. I'm always communicating with Mauro.

"The main thing was that we got back to winning ways, that's the only thing that mattered tonight."
