Inter Milan remain in contact with Lassana Diarra.

Calciomercato.com says Inter have returned to talks with Diarra after his entourage made clear they expect a FIFA ruling over his status this week.

Diarra is understood to have been released from his contract at Lokomotiv Moscow, though nothing has been formally decided by FIFA.

The former Chelsea and Arsenal midfielder passed an Inter medical before Christmas, but no deal was tabled with confusion persisting over his Loko status.

However, now with FIFA ready to make a definitive decision, the Nerazzurri are hoping to deal in Diarra.
