Inter Milan veteran Andrea Ranocchia was delighted with his role in their Coppa Italia win against Empoli.
Rannochia struck in the 3-2 win, which was earned in extra-time.
He later said: “I am very happy above all that we qualified for the next round, as that was the main objective. Having scored a goal, I am even happier," the captain told Sport Mediaset.
“I try to always be ready when called upon, this is part of teamwork and we are a really solid group who prove that every time we step not the field. I am very pleased to be part of this team.
“I will keep going as long as they let me! I am so proud to play with these lads."
Stefano Sensi proved the matchwinner and Ranocchia added: “Sensi is a splendid lad and also a really great player. Even with all the transfer rumours, he came on and put in a great performance. We all appreciate him here and I am happy for him."
