Inter Milan Treble winner Marco Materazzi is convinced Simone Inzaghi is the right man in charge.

Inzaghi has the title holders well placed, despite the loss of several key players and coach Antonio Conte from last season.

Materazzi said: “There are 7-8 teams that are strong and can steal points from each other. They are all doing well, they are all there and anything can happen. I hope Inter will win.

“I have faith in Inzaghi because what he has done in recent years with Lazio is very good, he came out of his comfort zone to become great at Inter too."

Materazzi admits it's "very strange" seeing his former Inter coach Jose Mourinho in charge of AS Roma.

He added: “It is very strange, but it is his job and his profession. He will certainly have evaluated well what are the pros and cons. He is doing a great job, but I want him to finish behind Inter."
