Inter Milan to try again for Chelsea fullback Marcos Alonso

Inter Milan are ready to try again for Chelsea fullback Marcos Alonso.

Inter made an attempt for the Spain international last summer and remain interested.

TMW via Fotboll Transfers says the Serie A champions are planning a January move for Alonso.

Former Fiorentina defender Alonso has a deal to 2023 and been a regular for manager Thomas Tuchel this season.

At Inter they're turning to Alonso over concerns about their fullback options. The Nerazzurri sold Achraf Hakimi to Paris Saint Germain last summer to help ease the club owners Suning's financial concerns. However, they haven't yet replaced him.

Alonso, a former Real Madrid Castilla player, was three years on the books at Fiorentina before being sold to Chelsea in 2016.

Since the arrival of Thomas Tuchel in January as Chelsea manager, Alonso has been able to re-establish himself as a senior left-back. The Spaniard has already seen off Emerson Palmieri, who is now with Olympique Lyon.
